I assumed it was an error and we switched to teamspeak as the web version of discord doesn't pick up my microphone for some reason, even though every other voice chat does. The next day, I've been getting this lovely message when I try to reinstall it:
Installed it a couple of months ago when a friend made me do it, and it worked for a day before deleting itself overnight for some reason.
